Mr Hamilton took over as Principal of Moyle Primary School and Nursery Unit in September 2017, after previously working as Principal of Sunnylands Primary School in Carrickfergus, for nearly six years. Mr Hamilton is committed to working alongside the excellent staff at Moyle to continue building upon the excellent standard of education in the school and maintaining a caring supportive environment, where he knows children can thrive. Mr Hamilton chairs the Senior Leadership Team.
Mrs Marian Mann is a native of Larne and has spent most of her teaching career at Moyle Primary School, teaching P1 for many years before moving to teach in our Learning Support Centre when a new class was added. After completing her Masters in Education, Mrs Mann applied for the post of Vice Principal in Moyle PS in 2017 and was successful.
Mrs Mann wears many hats within the school, as well as her Vice Principal role, she is our Special Educational Needs Coordinator and leads our Learning Support Centre.
Mrs Alison Ford-Hutchinson
P5/Senior Teacher
Mrs Ford-Hutchinson is a former pupil of Moyle Primary School and is the second generation of her family to teach at the school. As well as teaching Primary 5, Mrs Ford-Hutchinson is our curriculum co-ordinator, oversees Key Stage 2 and looks after assessment for the whole school. Mrs Ford-Hutchinson is also a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Mrs Wilkin, formerly Miss Higginson teaches P3 and heads up Pastoral Care within Moyle Primary School. As part of that role she is Designated Teacher for Child Protection and is helped by Mrs Scott to ensure there are lots of caring and fun interventions for our children in school. Mrs Wilkin is also a member of the Senior Leadership Team and Head of Key Stage 1.
Miss Nicola Blain
Primary 1
Miss Blain teaches P1. She taught our nursery classes for six years before returning to teach P1. Miss Blain is one of our Deputy Designated Teachers for Child Protection and a member of our Pastoral Team.
Mrs Aimee Scott
P1 Teacher
Mrs Scott, formerly Miss Montgomery, joined our staff in September 2022 and teaches Primary 1 alongside Miss Blain. Mrs Scott is from Carrickfergus and has a strong background in drama which she uses to support Miss Wallace with our choir and in leading our P1 performances. Mrs Scott is also part of our Pastoral Team and looks after some of our great interventions such as Friendship Club and Amigos. Mrs Scott is also one of our Deputy Designated Teachers for Child Protection and is a good point of contact if you have any concerns about a Moyle pupil.
Mrs Nichola Ames
P2 Teacher
Mrs Ames teaches P2 in Moyle Primary School having been a member of Moyle staff since she left college. She also manages the Primary 2 explorers club afterschool.
Miss Anna Clingen
P2 Teacher
Miss Clingen is in her second year of teaching, and comes to Moyle PS after teaching P1 in Belfast. Miss Clingen is from Newtownabbey. Miss Clingen is our PE and Afterschool Club co-ordinator, as well as taking Explorers Club for Primary 2.
Mrs Rachel O'Boyle

Mrs O'Boyle formerly Mrs Simpson has taught in Moyle for many years now, and looks after our school council and pupil voice.
Mrs Sarah Weatherup
P3 Teacher
Mrs Weatherup teaches P3 two days a week. She teaches Mrs Wilkin's class on a Wednesday and Mrs O'Boyle's on a Thursday.
Miss Chloe Haddock
P4 Teacher
Miss Haddock joined the Moyle staff in 2023 after graduating from teaching. She completed her teaching practice in the Moyle and previously taught P3 in 2023/24. Miss Haddock is part of our Jumpstart Steering Committee, manages social media and coaches the Netball team within Moyle PS.
Mrs Amy Coleman
P4 Teacher
Mrs Coleman came to Moyle Primary School as a student, then a job came up after she finished and therefore has taught at Moyle Primary School for her whole teaching career . She assists Mrs Cochrane in coordinating Numeracy within the school. Mrs Coleman coaches the school hockey team.
Miss Hannah Taylor
P5 Teacher
Miss Taylor joined Moyle PS in 2023 and has previously taught P4 in 2023/24. Miss Taylor teaches P5 as well as supporting Miss Curran with Literacy (English) coordination throughout the school. She is a very keen artist who loves taking our Art Club afterschool!
Miss Nicola Curran
P6 Teacher
Miss Curran teaches P6 and is our Literacy co-ordinator within the school, supported by Miss Taylor. She is passionate about getting children reading and many children become long term lovers of reading after being in her classroom. Miss Curran is a member of our Jumpstart Steering Committee and enjoys taking Film Club after school!
Mr Christopher Crowe
P6 Teacher
Mr Crowe joined the team at Moyle in August 2019 returning to Northern Ireland after training in England. He has experience of working in schools in East Antrim in various capacities and takes the school football team. Mr Crowe is also the school's ICT Coordinator and directs the SEAG Summer School.
Miss Heather Cochrane
P7 Teacher
Born and raised in Canada, Miss Cochrane has lived in the United Kingdom for a number of years. Mrs Cochrane has been teaching in Moyle Primary for four years. She teaches P7, leads our Shared Education Programme and is the Numeracy co-ordinator for Moyle PS.
Miss Gillian Wallace
P7 Teacher
Miss Wallace teaches Primary 7 and spearheads The Arts at Moyle Primary School. She is the school's music co-ordinator; leading the school choir, managing instrumental tuition and directing special assemblies and musical performances.
Mrs Judith Moore

Mrs Moore has vast experience working in early years education and is passionate about how children can learn through play.
Miss Megan Stephenson
LSC2 Teacher
Miss Stephenson graduated from University in 2024 and worked in Liverpool before returning home to Northern Ireland. She is trained in the Early Years and loves encouraging children to take part in outdoor learning! She is from Carrickfergus.
Mrs Rebecca Spencer
LSC3 Teacher
Mrs Spencer joined the staff of Moyle Primary School in 2022 and teaches one of our LSC classes. She also is part of the World Around Us team, focusing on the Eco schools aspect of the curricular area.
Mrs Spencer is on maternity leave from January 2025 until December 2025.
Mrs Jill McKay
Intervention Teacher
Mrs McKay works with children in small groups from Monday to Wednesday, targeted to support Numeracy and Literacy, mainly supporting pupils from P4 and P5. Mrs McKay also supports EAL children within school.
Mrs Aimee Duncan
Withdrawal group teacher
Mrs Duncan has taught most classes from P3 - P7 and after many years as a classroom teacher is teaching small groups of children, where she is helping children overcome their barriers to learning. Mrs Duncan works Wednesday to Friday.
Mrs Judith Webster
Teacher
Mrs Webster is from Northern Ireland but taught in Scotland for a few years before returning to Northern Ireland to teach at Moyle Primary School. Mrs Webster is the Teacher Tutor within MPS, looking after new teachers. Mrs Webster is on a career break looking after her family during the 2024/25 school year.
Miss Naomi Campbell

Miss Campbell joined Moyle staff on a permanent basis in September 2022. As well as teaching one of our Learning Support Classes, Miss Campbell coordinates the World Around Us throughout the school. Miss Campbell is off on maternity leave during 2024/25 looking after her new son.
